The garage is the place where normally we guard our cars and motorcycles. Frequently, though, the garage turns into a storeroom full of useless junk, old stuff that we do not use anymore but that we insist on not wanting to temporarily throw or piled things that maybe we never find when you need them. Is there a remedy for this mess? This guide explains how to tidy the garage.
Make sure you have on hand:
- Various types of hooks
First we have to empty the garage and throw everything that is no longer needed, then begin to re-order. We have to think how to make the most of the space available and how to position everything precisely.
Now let’s start! Surely everyone has a ladder in the garage but it is certainly in the way: we have to position it so that it is always at hand and to do that will hang the ladder to the wall with the drill, the horizontal or vertical direction is indifferent. Inevitable, in a garage, are also bicycles, which hinder the passage: using the drill can make a hole in the wall and install a hook arm of about 30 centimeters and with the terminal to U. The hook should be placed near to the ceiling and the bicycle it will be hanging for the wheel.
We can also hang several annoying objects on the ceiling, using hooks or pulley modules, such as canoes, rafts, ski, sleds and surfboards. In the vicinity of a wall we place a work table with drawers preferably made of steel (the steel, unlike other materials, not affected by humidity, is resistant and is also easy to clean). Above the floor, leaning against the wall, we place a rack in order to have all the work tools such as, for example, a drill, a saw, screwdrivers, scissors, pliers, brushes, roller, fixed keys and socket head, etc. In the drawer of the table we put small objects such as nails, screws, glue, insulating tapes, hooks, rope, sponges and shampoo to wash the car and everything that can be useful for the “do it yourself.” We place on each cassette label allows to write the material inside.
To take advantage of every millimeter available, we can build round brackets to be placed on the corner between two walls. The maximum projection should be of 30 cm we could place them over the entire height of the wall having the readiness to leave a space of about 25 – 30 centimeters between a shelf and the other. On these shelves we’re going to fix shoes, previously closed to protect them from dust and moisture. And now our garage is neat!
