And for double garage door sizes, the standard measurement is 16 x 7 feet, 14 x 7 feet, and 12 x 7 feet. Like double garage door, it’s designed for bigger vehicles as well as more than 1 vehicle. The length provided before are meant for both single and double garage door actually. This should be remembered when you shop for garage doors. Another thing you should consider is your vehicle length before making sure which one is perfect for you. So, instead of blindly sticking to the basic measurement, you need to measure your vehicle length and match it with standard size stated before. You can add or subtract based on your needs.

For recreational vehicle (RV), you need to measure differently. The garage accommodation is not the same from smaller vehicles. So to keep your RV, the standard size is 16 x 8 feet, while for ceiling height is about 9 feet. Proper plans for new constructions are things you have to make sure you have. Your garage door should not only fit to one single RV, but also for other items and even another vehicles if you have one. So, make sure to discuss it with your contractor and architect.
